Nike – Citadel Factory Outlets
With over 5 years experience working with the Nike Factory Store program; the team at Innovation & Design in Architecture was chosen to design the first two-story Nike Factory Store at Los Angeles’ premiere outlet center ‘Citadel Outlets’. The 2-Story layout is much larger than a typical Factory Store with over 17,500 square feet of retail space. The size of the space offered up new design challenges in terms of visual merchandising and product placement. With a clear understanding of the Nike Factory Program’s design methodology; the team at IDA created a design that connects the consumer with the Nike Factory brand, while adapting to the merchandising needs of a two-story space. The success of this project can also be attributed to the in depth project management from the team at IDA. With a fall opening crucial to Nike’s business needs, IDA in partnership with Nike were able to develop a new and innovative system of project deliveries. By coordinating all aspects of the project with the owner, the shell architect and the shell Contractor, we were able to drastically shorten the project schedule and successfully open the store well before the holiday season.
